Hermione’s Vegan Butterbeer Latte | Winter Biannual Bibliothon Blog Challenge Day 2

Day 2’s challenge for the Winter Biannual Bibliothon is to create a bookish beverage. Today’s challenge was created by Will Read For Booze. The idea is to create your own beverage inspired by a character or book. And I might be a little bit cliche in my beverage, but I couldn’t help myself—at all. So I made butterbeer. More specifically, I made a vegan butterbeer latte in Hermione’s name. … More Hermione’s Vegan Butterbeer Latte | Winter Biannual Bibliothon Blog Challenge Day 2

Not a Review| Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

Defy the Stars is the first novel in a new space adventure duology from author Claudia Gray. Noemi Vidal is a soldier who would give up everything, including her life or the life of another, to protect her Utopian home world from Earth’s destructive embrace. Abel is a machine—a mech—left alone on a spaceship for thirty years, a span of time and loneliness that has allowed his programming to evolve. … More Not a Review| Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

Bookish Recipe| Diana Gabaldon’s Christmas Fudge Made Vegan

Last week, the lovely Diana Gabaldon, author of the Outlander series, was unbelievably generous and shared her family’s fudge recipe with us on Facebook! My Holiday Reading List

While the holidays is my favorite time of year, my monstrous, living, breathing TBR pile absolutely dreads it since I usually spend the entire month of December rereading old favorites. It’s become a little tradition of mine, one that I don’t want to give it up. Rereading my favorite books is something that I look forward to every year. It’s like visiting an old friend. … More My Holiday Reading List

This was a makeup look that I was hoping to get up during October. But I didn’t do much of anything during October. So, here we are at the start of November with a pumpkin patch eye tutorial–Hargrid’s Pumpkin Patch, to be specific. It’s still fall… we can still do pumpkin things right? Who doesn’t love pumpkins?
And, I mean, who really doesn’t love Hagrid? … More Makeup by Muse | Hagrid’s Pumpkin Patch

Hit or Miss | Almay One Coat MEGA VOLUME Mascara

It’s been a pretty long time since my last post, and sadly today’s post isn’t anything remotely book related. On the bright side, it’s a beauty review! YAY! First off, thank you to Influenster and Almay for giving me the chance to test this product for review purposes. Secondly, I have a love/hate relationship with mascara. I usually like most mascaras that I’ve tried for a day or so, mostly when they’re brand new and the product is fresh and the tube is full. But, my lashes are usually over whatever mascara I’m using after a dozen or so uses and they go back to being small and unnoticeable. I’m the type of person who loves it when my lashes scream at people for attention. But not many mascaras keep my lashes shouting with joy for very long. My lashes take after me: they’re pretty shy, are agonizingly quiet, and they, like me, need A LOT of poking and prodding to induce even the smallest amount of remotely-attention-seeking noise. Needless to say, loud lashes are hard for me to come by unless I’m 100% faking it and gluing them to my face. Enter new mascara. … More Hit or Miss | Almay One Coat MEGA VOLUME Mascara
